Crop progress report 11/21: Weather not favorable for farming in Washington

Red combine harvester in golden wheat field.
From NASS  There were 4.5 days suitable for fieldwork, down from 4.6 the previous week. In San Juan County, cooler temperatures set in throughout the area. Ponds were nearly full as winter conditions settled on the area. In Snohomish County, saturated soils prevented any fieldwork beyond vegetable harvest from being done. Some fields were flooded, which kept agricultural activity from happening. In Yakima County, there was consistent rain throughout the area. Rainfall helped fall crops. Little amounts of snowfall occurred during the late nights. In Douglas County, the Waterville Plateau received much needed moisture. Several producers took the opportunity to re-seed with the moisture conditions.
