Crop progress report 06/20: Rising temperatures throughout Washington

From NASS There were 6.7 days suitable for field work, down from 7 days the previous week. Statewide temperatures for the week ending June 20 were normal to above normal. In San Juan County, pastures continued to dry, and grasses booted. Berry crops sized up and continued to bloom. In Snohomish County, the ground moisture was low. Poorly drained fields became saturated and caused crop damage. In Chelan County, temperatures were above normal for this time of year. Crops and pastures continued to suffer from the precipitation deficit. In Yakima County, bins were distributed in early variety cherry orchards. Apricots showed an orange base color and were close to harvest. Yellow and green zucchini squashes were harvested. In Asotin County, a rainstorm with some hail was reported and caused some damage to crops. Whitman County received little rainfall, but the area remained dry overall.
