AWB OUT - Australia's Wheat Market Exporting Bill 2008, ending the Australian Wheat Board (AWB) single desk monopoly of 69 years, was passed into law by the Australian Senate with a vote of 59 to 5 in favor of the new law. OVERSEAS TRIP INTERVIEW - For the last 20 years, the Washington Wheat Commission has been sponsoring farmers, elevator operators, wheat breeders and other scientists on trips overseas.
